Artist.
Born in the Northwest region of Cameroon, with roots reaching into Nigeria, Adah Akenji was shaped by more than geography — he was shaped by sound. His parents, Asanji Abraham Akenji and Rebecca Ada Akenji, introduced him to classical music and jazz before the world had a chance to tell him who to be. Those early rhythms gave him structure. Everything else, he built with his hands.
Over 15 years, Adah became the most respected creative in Cameroon's visual market — the mind behind commercials and music videos that defined a generation of Cameroonian aesthetics. Singer, songwriter, composer, painter, digital artist, cinematographer, filmmaker. One word covers it all: Artist. In 2025, he and his wife — the singer and performer Sandrine Nnanga — co-founded MetrooMedia Group, an audiovisual production company based in Yaoundé.
In 2026, Adah stepped in front of the camera for himself. His first single "Ma Prière", released in February 2026 and featuring his wife Sandrine Nnanga, was a deeply personal beginning. His second single "Unique", released in April 2026, broadened his reach and captivated a growing female fanbase. His debut album, MAN, drops August 14, 2026 — exclusively on adahakenji.com. A studio album follows in 2028. He is a devoted husband and a happy father.
